This is an example of marketing, this is specifically designed to appeal to a young adult generation, shown mainly by the age restriction displayed on the box, meaning it clearly contains some adult themes, possibly scaring a younger audience. The games are on three main platforms, two very popular games consoles, and one platform of which most people are accessible to.


This is a luxury box set was available to pre order, only 1000 were made, this is a collectors item, Harry Potter fanatics would find this a very attractive and completely necessary addition to their extensive collection of memorabilia.

This was an article in the Metro newspaper, it also featured on the website. Publicizing the advert. The initial advert was cutting edge, people were astonished by the 3D effect used, most people would not think it would be possible, so not only was it groundbreaking, but it started off word of mouth and reached the newspaper.



Youtube played host to the trailers for the film, the first one was released as early as December 2009, nearly a whole year before the actual release date, this made people very excited to go and view the film, these teasers were updated regularly, creating more and more suspense for the film.


This photo was taken at the premiere, which was streamed onto BBC3, this aired on national television, showing the nation the stars of the film.
Emma Watson is wearing a dress which made the front page of a lot of news paper, she has had a controversial hair cut and dress. The dress entailed many imitations and hype about it.
Behind the actors there are death eaters, these are antagonists in the film, they are featured in the premiere to keep it in character.
